How long has Daily Crunch Snacks been in business? Tell us about everything from the inspiration behind choosing the name to how you decide on a recipe.
Daily Crunch Snacks launched in March of 2020, but originated 20 years ago from a small company by our co-founder, Diane, called The Health Nut. We changed the name of our business to reflect our passion — healthy crunching on the daily — and our new, re-energized approach. Diane is a long-time foodie, so she leads the recipe side of things.
Why is the community so important to the brand?
We fuel our community, and our community fuels us. In seeing the impact our snacks make on the way our community feels, we’re inspired to craft new flavor profiles and expand our reach. We hope to empower everyone in our community on their health and wellness journeys by making truly clean, healthy snacking convenient and delicious. Satisfying crunch cravings shouldn’t come at a cost to your goals!
Tell us what makes Daily Crunch Snacks so impactful to your community? Could you tell us about your giveback mission?
At Daily Crunch Snacks, we believe that mental health should be as much a part of the fabric of our daily lives as the food we eat. The thoughts and the nutrients you feed your body hold equal influence over your wellbeing. So when you snack on Daily Crunch, take some time to evaluate how you’re feeling, disconnect from social media, or take a few deep breaths — whatever taking time for your mental health looks like for you. We hope to make feeding your body with real and healthy foods easier, and to remind you to take time for your mental health.
Diane lost her son, George, to mental illness and dedicates much of her time and energy to reducing the stigma around mental health. In support of Diane and our mission, a portion of all Daily Crunch Snacks proceeds go to The Support Network, which advocates mental health awareness on college campuses.
Why is sustainability so important to the brand?
We care about sustaining our customers and our planet at Daily Crunch. We work very closely with the farmers that produce our almonds (at Treehouse Growers Farm) to ensure that we’re taking every step to be as sustainable as possible — from water conservation efforts to bee-friendly practices. On top of that, we use post-consumer recycled materials for our packaging and recyclable boxes to minimize our carbon footprint. We are dedicated to preserving this planet we share, while providing you with healthy snacks made of real ingredients.
Who is your customer?
Our customers are the health-conscious individuals who value paying a slight premium to fuel their bodies with nutrient dense and protein packed snacks. More specifically, we target working millennials who prioritize health and wellness, and busy moms who are looking to make healthy snack choices for herself and her children. Interestingly enough, our data tells us that we have a 55+ age consumer who is frequently re-purchasing Daily Crunch. As our brand grows, we are adapting to consumer needs and trying to understand, on a deeper level, who our target customers really are.
What excited you most about partnering with Alfred?
We are so thrilled to be partnering with Alfred, as so much of our mission at Daily Crunch is to make healthy snacking easy and accessible. This partnership is so meaningful to us because trial is so important for our product, and we were so excited when you asked us to be the snack partner for your local fitness events. We can’t wait for your clientele to try Daily Crunch, and hopefully stock their pantries with our superfood-infused sprouted nut snacks!
What are the brand plans for the future?
We’re launching a new savory flavor this fall. Be on the lookout for our new flavor announcement in October. We are personally really excited about this new flavor as it’s something completely new to the market and very specific to our city of origin, Nashville (hint hint!).
