Alfred Acquires Building Technology Platform Bixby

When we began Hello Alfred in 2015, we started with a mission to make help a utility in people’s lives; to give them the time and headspace back to devote to things that were meaningful, and to let us take care of the rest. What began as two people and one very large dream has blossomed into a company that’s changing the way that people are living in cities — over 20 of them now, and growing by the day. By providing residents access to trusted and anticipatory help, we’ve seen our member’s lives change — suddenly they have time for that new business idea, more time to spend with their family, a new interest or hobby. New perspective on how to nourish themselves or what they want their home to look and feel like. We’re proud to be along with them on that journey, taking turns both guiding them and cheering them on. Today, we’re excited to expand upon that mission to help people live better by welcoming Bixby to Hello Alfred.
Founded in 2016 by Mark Smukler and Alex Ohebshalom, Bixby works with real estate developers to enhance the resident experience via their mobile app. We’re proud to bring their team, technology and clients into the Hello Alfred fold to expand our reach and continue to deliver the best residential experience to residents across an expanded portfolio and varying property types.
The fact is, sometimes you meet another company that feels like it shares a piece of your DNA in some way. Bixby has been fast growing, technology focused, with a thoughtful and capable team that has spent years focusing on building software for buildings and residents. We saw an opportunity to bring them under the Hello Alfred umbrella and to expand upon our new Powered by Alfred service offering, allowing us to continue to focus on best in class service and trusted help for residents of all different building classes and types.
We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Mark and his team join the Hello Alfred family to help members around the country experience the best of what city living can be.
